We adopted Casper on November 3, 2018. To hear the story on the details that led to us choosing him, see the book "Getting Our Guard". Casper was found on Halloween searching for food. He was about 7 months old at the time. He was severely under weight and had many sores on him. Regardless of his condition he was super friendly, so the people at the shelter named him Casper (like Casper the friendly Ghost). We liked the name and kept it, but added Nova as the middle name. He quickly became best friends with my daughter, Daisy. It really was like having a baby. I had to wake up in the middle of the night to bring him outside and even brought him to daycare everyday for the first about 8 months to keep his energy at bay. He has destroyed a few things, but it has all been worth it as you can tell from our adventures.
